A recent campaign by Nottinghamshire County Council Road Safety Team to raise awareness amongst older people yielded some telling results!
This simple yet effective word puzzle certainly attracted the attention of the public. It was advertised in a magazine for the elderly, on leaflets and through CCP Promotional Library Bookmarks.
Well over half of all the correct returns received were from bookmarks (58.7%), while magazines and leaflets between them generated little more than one fifth of the all responses (22%).
Team Manager, Pam Shaw, was “pleased with the results” and has since run other successful campaigns on bookmarks. The ‘World Cup’ campaign about not playing football in the streets was so popular with students that teachers were asking for more!
